Kristin Lahoop is a contemporary circus and hula hoop artist with over 14 years of stage experience. She discovered the hula hoop as a dance partner in 2009 and developed her skills autodidactically, inspired by dance, clownery, physical theatre and circus artistry. Influenced by French Nouveau Cirque and Contemporary Circus, her style blends technical virtuosity, musicality, geometric forms, and expressive body movements — creating performances that are both visually striking and emotionally engaging.
Kristin’s core mission is to create performances that genuinely connect with audiences – inviting laughter, wonder and moments of quiet reflection. Whether performing on the street or on stage, she is interested in the human side of circus: presence, vulnerability and storytelling through movement.
Her shows have been presented at festivals, theatres, and cultural venues nationally and internationally. She has performed three times at the Philharmonie Luxembourg, collaborating with high-profile artists and musicians, and toured with hula hoop acts and full-length shows in Paris, Bristol, Austria, Switzerland, and beyond. Her performances are known for their warmth, innovation, creative and poetic storytelling, appealing to audiences of all ages.
